Ruby used to be my favorite programming language. Something about the philosophy of trying to make developers smile has creaed this incredibly beautiful community. This community has, in turn, given back and managed to create this incredibly beautiful programminglanguage. I considered myself pretty into programming before learning Ruby, but I wouldn't say I truly fell in love with it until I dove deep into Ruby. Ruby code can be written in a way that truly feels like reading English, and I find that to be an incredible feat. Yet at the same time, difficult programming concepts such as functional programming and metaprogramming, which are difficult to even explain in simple English, are both simple and elegant in the language.
